Housed in the former Convent of Jesus, dating from the 15th century, this museum is deeply linked to the figure of Princess Saint Joana, daughter of King Afonso V. Her life of devotion marked the history of the convent and the city. Today, the museum preserves a valuable artistic, religious and historical heritage, and is one of the most important cultural spaces in Aveiro.
